What You Will Do
Business Analysis Leadership & Discovery:
- Alongside product managers, lead discovery with Supply Chain, Operations, and IT to understand objectives, pain points, risks, constraints, and dependencies; establish problem statements, scope boundaries, and measurable outcomes.
Supply Chain Solution & Requirements Ownership
- Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle for supply chain capabilities (intake, analysis, prioritization support, documentation, traceability, and change control). Stay current with Microsoft D365 Supply Chain updates and recommend features that improve service, cost, and cycle time performance.
Requirements, Process & Data Definition:
- Facilitate workshops to elicit, analyze, and document complex supply chain requirements; produce clear process maps, business rules, and functional specifications across core supply chain domains (planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, transportation, and fulfillment).
- Partner with product managers, engineers, Microsoft, and implementation partners to translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, including exception handling, controls, role-based security, and auditability considerations where applicable.
- Liaison between business stakeholders, Dealers, and delivery teams-driving decisions, resolving ambiguities, and maintaining alignment on scope and expected outcomes.
- Define reporting, analytics, and data needs (KPIs, dimensions, master data, and data quality rules) to ensure supply chain insights are accurate, timely, and trusted.
- Coordinate with other product and process leads to manage cross-functional dependencies (finance, manufacturing, customer service/sales, quality, and integrations) and support governance for requirement changes and prioritization.
Delivery Partnership & Validation:
- Partner with delivery teams to validate solution designs against requirements, ensuring usability, security, and operational controls meet Caterpillar standards.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and training with business stakeholders; ensure test scenarios, expected results, and sign-offs are traceable to requirements, and prioritize issues for remediation through release cycles.
- Create clear stakeholder-ready materials (walkthroughs, demos, process documentation) that explain supply chain solution changes and support adoption.
- Develop process walkthroughs and functional demo materials to communicate how the dealer supply chain template supports business scenarios and controls.
- Release Management:
- Coordinate and validate requirements readiness (scope, assumptions, process impacts, acceptance criteria) to support timely, high-quality software releases.
- Facilitate backlog refinement and stakeholder communication to ensure business value delivery.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to manage process and integration dependencies, document decisions, and maintain end-to-end traceability from requirements through deployment.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Cat Converge Product Managers, Cat Digital leads, external vendors, and Caterpillar Dealers.
Change Management
- Work in conjunction with the Dealer Advisory Board to identify opportunities to improve Dealer processes, drive operational consistency through the ERP template, and identify change management requirements for Dealers.
User Training
- Support dealer enablement to deliver user training programs, provide ongoing support, and address user issues / enhancement requests.
Support
- Produce product documentation for supply chain capabilities and collaborate with the Support team to generate adequate support materials, workflows, and playbooks to ensure Dealer use of the product. Assist where needed in remediating support issues through roadmap / delivery team adjustments.
What You Will Have:
- ERP & Systems Knowledge (MS Dynamics 365 Supply Chain focus)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (or other related ERP/SCM) in a product or process analysis role.
- Understanding of ERP system functionality and integration with external applications.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain product lifecycle management, including adoption and change management.
- Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.

- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.
Considerations For Top Candidates:
- Experience delivering ERP or complex supply chain transformation initiatives; Dynamics 365 SCM experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience as a Product Owner, Supply Chain Analyst, Digital Business Analyst, or Supply Chain Process Lead.
- Experience with global dealer networks, manufacturing, industrial supply chains, or the rental industry.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through product delivery, change management, training, and adoption.
- Experience leading business analysis, product ownership, or process improvement for ERP or large-scale supply chain solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management or a comparable ERP/SCM platform, including integrations with other applications.
- Strong knowledge of demand planning, procurement, inventory optimization, warehousing, transportation, and order fulfillment.
- Ability to identify process gaps and translate complex business needs into process maps, functional requirements, user stories, business rules, and testable acceptance criteria.
- Experience using supply chain data, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools such as Power BI or Dynamics 365 to identify improvement opportunities.
- Experience supporting Agile/Scrum delivery, backlog refinement, testing, releases, and stakeholder reviews.
