J.P. Morgan’s Equity Franchise Sales team is seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our dynamic team in New York.

The Latam Equity Franchise Sales team manages client relationships with the largest institutional investors in North America investing in Latin American markets. It delivers the J.P. Morgan Equity Research Product and investment ideas, facilitates investor, corporate, and analyst access, and places initial public offerings and follow-ons. The role is integral to supporting the growth of our top-ranked Latam franchise in an evolving industry landscape. You will engage with stakeholders around the world and collaborate with various teams, including Research, Sales-Trading, Trading, Syndicate, Equity Capital Markets, Banking, Prime-Brokerage and Derivatives. You will be part of the sales team effort to deliver the firm’s resources and best-in-class client franchise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day coverage of North American Long Only, Sovereign Wealth and hedge fund institutional clients investing in Latin American equities, with a focus on Brazil, Mexico, and the Andean Region.

  • Act as a key connector across external institutional clients and internal product areas — increasing and maintaining strong communication flow with Trading, Sales-Trading, Research, Syndicate, Equity Capital Markets, and Derivatives.

  • Practice strong intellectual curiosity for core and adjacent equity products, build deep relationships to foster cross-selling, maintain a strong understanding of markets and geopolitics, and exercise an extremely high degree of attention to detail.

  • Maintain a sense of urgency with a strong focus on organization; exercise an extremely high degree of attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of markets and geopolitics, practice a strong intellectual curiosity for core and adjacent equity products; develop deep relationships to foster cross-selling.

  • Experience on Alpha generation platforms and quant client coverage. 

  • Leverage AI/LLM tools to maximize work effort and efficiency, and build agentic AI helpers to maximize client content generation and firmwide interactions, driving market call efficiency and product monetization.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
  • SIE, Series 7 & 63 licenses (candidates without these may be considered but will be required to obtain them within 60 days of hire).

  • 3+ years of experience in the Latam Cash Equities space. We will consider candidates from Trading, Sales-Trading, Syndicate, Investment Banking, and Research with a Latam focus.

  • In-depth knowledge of Latam local markets, with strong understanding of Brazilian, Mexican, and Andean Region dynamics. Regional Sector Expertise is a plus.

  • Fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish (both strongly preferred).

  • Critical thinking skills: willing to drive trade concepts and themes for investor clients.

  • Effective communicator: communicates ideas clearly and effectively.

  • Excellent team player, with the ability to work well in small groups and partner well across the franchise.

  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressures associated with time-sensitive market events and deadlines.

  • Proven expertise on execution on NDRs, Deal Roadshows, Block Placements and bespoke regional trips.

  • Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural and global environment.

  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills.

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Bloomberg.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
