Job Description

The Marketing Campaign Manager will play a pivotal role in the project management, planning, and coordination of integrated marketing campaigns for the LA Kings. This role will serve as a central project management resource, coordinating the go-to-market process across Graphic Design, Video Production, Social Media, and other cross-functional teams. Working closely with the Manager, Brand Marketing and stakeholders, this individual will manage campaign timelines, creative workflows, and launch readiness to ensure marketing initiatives are effectively coordinated and executed in support of key business objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with Marketing leadership to translate annual priorities, campaign strategies, and promotional plans into actionable project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a central project management resource for Marketing, coordinating workflows and priorities across Graphic Design, Video Production, Social Media, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Project manage marketing campaigns through the full go-to-market process, from initial planning and creative development through production, approvals, launch, and ongoing campaign support.
  • Maintain the integrated marketing calendar, ensuring visibility into upcoming campaigns, key dates, promotional plans, creative needs, production schedules, and channel activation timelines.
  • Own and maintain Airtable as Marketing’s central project management platform and source of truth for the go-to-market process, including the marketing calendar, promotional plans, creative asset requests, timelines, due dates, project status, notes, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Manage creative asset workflows across Graphic Design, Video Production, and Social Media, ensuring requirements, priorities, deadlines, feedback, approvals, and final deliverables are clearly communicated and tracked.
  • Lead campaign kickoffs, project status meetings, and creative reviews to maintain alignment, resolve outstanding needs, and keep projects on schedule.
  • Partner with channel owners and cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns are launch-ready and all required messaging, creative assets, and promotional materials are delivered on time.
  • Proactively identify competing priorities, resource constraints, production bottlenecks, and project risks, working with Marketing leadership and functional teams to develop solutions and maintain timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external agencies, vendors, and partners as needed to ensure campaign deliverables are aligned with the broader go-to market plan and completed on schedule.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability

The Marketing Campaign Manager must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:

  • Proficiency in managing timelines, tasks, and resources
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver promptly by strict deadlines. With excellent organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, presentation), interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); and ability to learn all required business systems
  • Strong knowledge of the LA Kings, NHL, international and local hockey team
  • Excellent at relationship building and communicating across departments
  • Analytical Thinker who uses data to inform decisions and optimize campaigns
  • Available to work a hockey-based schedule: nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualification Standards

Education:

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred) in a related field.

Experience:

  • 4-6 years related work experience
  • Account management and/ or marketing experience in an integrated marketing and/or digitally led marketing capacity
  • Experience working for a brand and ideally within a sports, entertainment, or media environment
  • Proven track record collaborating with cross functional teams
  • Experience communicating with senior leadership

Payscale: $71,000 - $85,000

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
