About Us

eJam is a bootstrapped consumer products company that has built, scaled, and exited multiple brands — all without ever taking a dollar of outside capital. Our portfolio includes category leaders ranked at the top of Amazon, carried in major retailers nationwide, and sold across DTC, marketplaces, and every channel in between.

We’re not a startup hoping something works. We’re a team that has done it repeatedly — taken products from zero to eight figures, landed them on retail shelves nationwide, and built real brands that consumers love. We operate like a holding company with the speed of a startup: small team, no bureaucracy, massive ownership.

This is the place where you’ll see the entire machine — sourcing, product development, packaging, manufacturing, compliance, marketing, marketplace strategy, retail — all under one roof. If you want to learn how consumer products actually get built and shipped at scale, there is no faster education than this.

About the Role

This isn't just a coding job — it's for someone who wants to understand why things work, not just how to build them.

We're looking for a Marketing Web Developer who can build high-converting landing pages, checkout flows, and Shopify experiences using AI tools — but who's equally curious about the data behind those pages and the marketing strategy driving them. You'll be building, yes, but you'll also be looking at results, asking questions, and suggesting what to test next.

If you've ever found yourself wondering "why did that page convert better?" or "what if we tried this instead?" — this role was made for you.

What You'll Work On

Landing page & funnel development

  • Building conversion-focused landing pages from Figma designs
  • Custom checkout pages and multi-step funnels using Checkout Champ
  • A/B test variants and rapid iteration cycles in a high-velocity testing environment
  • Webflow landing page builds and customizations

Data & marketing thinking

  • Reviewing funnel and campaign performance data alongside the marketing team
  • Suggesting ideas for what to test or improve based on what you're seeing
  • Developing a working understanding of DTC marketing fundamentals — we'll guide you
  • Asking "why did this page outperform that one?" and helping connect the dots

Tracking & analytics implementation

  • Placing and verifying tracking pixels (Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, GA4)
  • Ensuring all funnels are tracking properly across every step
  • Setting up event tracking to capture performance data
  • Validating that tests are tracking correctly so we can identify wins vs. losses
  • Working with Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking setups

Shopify storefront customization

  • Theme modifications and custom sections
  • Product page enhancements and checkout customizations
  • Basic app integrations and functionality extensions

AI-assisted development

  • Using Claude Code, Cursor, v0, or similar tools to accelerate builds
  • Rapidly prototyping page concepts and funnel flows
  • Iterating based on conversion data and feedback

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Working with designers to translate Figma files into pixel-perfect pages
  • Partnering with the CRO team to implement testing frameworks
  • Coordinating with media buyers on campaign-specific landing pages and tracking requirements

Requirements
  • Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
  • Experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0, or similar)
  • Portfolio demonstrating:
    • Clean, responsive web pages you've built
    • Examples of projects you're proud of (personal or professional)
    • Any conversion-focused or eCommerce work is a plus
  • Comfortable with:
    • Responsive design and mobile-first development
    • Learning new platforms and tools quickly
  • Detail-oriented mindset for tracking implementation and QA
  • Hungry, self-starter mentality — eager to learn and grow
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to be in-office 5 days/week
  • Reliable communicator who takes initiative
You'll Succeed Here If You:
  • Are genuinely curious about marketing — not just the code behind it
  • Want to understand what makes a page convert, not just how to build it
  • Love using AI tools to move faster and learn as you build
  • Embrace a "ship fast, iterate faster" mentality
  • Aren't intimidated by tools or platforms you haven't used before
  • Have a detail-oriented approach to ensuring tracking accuracy
  • Feel comfortable saying "I think we should try X" based on what you're seeing
  • Thrive in collaborative, in-person team environments
  • Are coachable and eager to level up your skills
  • Enjoy working in a high-velocity testing environment where speed matters
Nice to Have (But Not Required — We'll Teach You!)
  • Experience with Shopify Liquid and theme development
  • Familiarity with Checkout Champ or similar checkout platforms
  • Webflow experience or exposure to visual page builders
  • Basic understanding of tracking setup (GA4, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, GTM)
  • Past DTC or eCommerce brand experience
  • Exposure to A/B testing tools and CRO methodology
  • Experience with Figma and design handoff workflows

Benefits
  • Work in-office with a top-performing DTC team in Santa Ana, CA
  • Rapid skill development in high-conversion web development and performance tracking
  • Hands-on mentorship and exposure to real revenue-driving projects
  • Opportunity to grow into senior roles as you prove your abilities
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
