About the role

 

Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join our dedicated and dynamic team. This role is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations including cashier audits, deposits, reconciliations, vendor statement resolution, reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies. At Four Seasons, you’ll be part of a culture built on collaboration, integrity, and service excellence, where employees are supported and committed to upholding the highest standards.

 

What you will do

• Manage House Banks, including issuance, balancing, audits, deposits, petty cash disbursements, and accurate record-keeping.

• Process and reconcile cashier deposits, foreign currencies, vendor statements, payments, and accruals, resolving discrepancies directly with vendors.

• Prepare and distribute financial reports, including the Daily Cash Report, month-end reports, and required journal entries.

• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date files for bank contracts, accounts payable, operating equipment, and capital purchases.

• Oversee accounting operations in the absence of leadership, ensuring all service activities and financial safeguards are in place.

• Maintain professional relationships, uphold Four Seasons' Work Rules, and ensure compliance with local, corporate, and internal control policies.

• Support additional accounting functions as assigned, providing assistance across the department to ensure smooth operations.

 

What you bring

• Solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams

• Working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and all corporate policies and procedures

• Strategic, analytical and have solid business acumen.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on Word and Excel

• Strong interpersonal and team player skills 

• Highest level of integrity and work ethic

• Strong problem solving and time management skills

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
