VetsEZ is seeking a Junior Project Manager. The Junior Project Manager will support senior project and program managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities. This role is ideal for an early-career project management professional looking to grow within a structured PMO environment while supporting complex, mission-driven federal programs.
The candidate must reside within the continental US and the role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day project management activities across one or more projects or workstreams
- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and task tracking artifacts
- Track project milestones, action items, risks, and issues
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports and meeting notes
- Coordinate project meetings, stand-ups, and reviews
- Support communication with team members, stakeholders, and partners
- Assist with change management, dependency tracking, and requirements coordination
- Ensure adherence to project management processes and reporting standards
- Support continuous improvement of PM tools, templates, and processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of experience supporting projects or operational initiatives
- Understanding of core project management concepts (scope, schedule, risks, dependencies)
- Experience with project tracking or collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, SharePoint, Confluence)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Additional Qualifications:
- Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments
- Experience supporting federal or government IT projects
- CAPM or entry-level project management certification (or coursework toward certification)
