About the Internship

SailPoint is seeking talented university students to join our Product Design team within our SaaS/Cloud organization. This internship is ideal for students passionate about creating intuitive, user-centered digital experiences and eager to contribute to real-world enterprise products.
 

As a Product Design Intern, you will collaborate with experienced product designers, engineers, and product managers to design thoughtful solutions that improve usability and customer experience across our platform. You will participate in the full design lifecycle—from research and ideation to prototyping and iteration—while gaining exposure to modern design tools and best practices.
 

You’ll work in small, Agile teams where your ideas and contributions directly influence product direction. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong mentorship and a culture that values creativity, experimentation, and continuous learning.
 

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams to create user-centered design solutions

  • Contribute to wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for SaaS products

  • Participate in user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis

  • Help maintain and evolve design systems and UI standards

  • Communicate design concepts clearly through presentations and documentation

  • Iterate on designs based on stakeholder and user feedback
     

Requirements
  • Demonstrated interest in product design, UX/UI, or human-centered design

  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite

  • Basic understanding of usability principles and interaction design

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment

  • Portfolio showcasing relevant design work (academic or personal projects welcome)

  • Recently obtained or pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field
     

Education

College students from rising sophomores to seniors, as well as master’s-level students, are encouraged to apply.

Compensation varies based on your level of education from high school to Masters and the role applied for.

The reasonably estimated hourly rate for interns at SailPoint ranges from (USD):

$15 - $35.00
