The Opportunity…
We’re seeking a talented Junior Product Designer to join our innovative ad tech agency, where creativity meets data-driven strategy to power customer acquisition. In this role, you’ll help define digital experiences that balance user needs with business goals, creating high-impact, visually compelling designs that drive performance and engagement.
As part of a collaborative, fast-paced team, you’ll work across the entire design cycle— from wireframing and prototyping, A/B testing, design iteration, and analyzing site performance. You'll also play a critical role in supporting clients’ promotional offer updates, maintaining component libraries, and ensuring we meet brand and legal compliance across all deliverables. Your work will directly influence the look, feel, and functionality of our digital products.
We’re looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategic thinking and creative execution, with a good foundation in both information architecture and visual design. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and alignment with business objectives. What you will be doing
- Reporting to Product Design Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting data driven UX strategies for our digital brands as it pertains to brainstorming, promotional updates, layout design, A/B testing, and analyzing site performance
- Embodying a sophisticated design aesthetic, apply UX/UI principles and current trends in typography, color, and composition to branding, layout design, and promotional offers
- Consistently and effectively interact with cross functional teammates including client services, product management, engineering, and QA to help solve issues, meet deadlines, and provide design thinking
- Record and analyze A/B testing data, collaborating with product to identify actionable opportunities for improvement
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with flexibility and efficiency, using sound judgment to prioritize based on urgency and staying resourceful in a fast-paced environment
- Become an expert at your brands’ offers/promotions and site performance, ensuring releases are on-time and expiring details are removed or updated, proofing your own work to consistently maintain a high level of quality and accuracy
- Manage approval processes for various brands’ marketing creatives and legal compliance, while following the client’s design standards and guidelines
- Create and organize component and asset libraries in Figma for all projects, keeping it up to date in real-time with the latest legal compliance and brand approvals that have gone live
- Maintain real-time status updates and manage individual tasks within JIRA and the Design Bandwidth board
What you need to be great in this role:
- 0-2 years of design experience as a Digital Designer, Web Designer, Graphic Designer, or UX/UI/Product Designer, preferably who has worked in a fast paced digital advertising agency setting
- Be located in the Los Angeles area and willing to commute to our Playa Vista office 3x/week (Tues/Wed/Thurs)
- Proficiency in Figma or an ability and willingness to learn quickly
- A sophisticated design aesthetic, with at minimum a solid understanding of visual design principles, especially hierarchy, typography, and composition
- Demonstrate conceptual problem-solving skills in solo and team settings
- Precise attention to detail and a love for organization and thorough processes
- Familiarity with responsive web design and accessibility best practices
- Ability to comfortably multitask a variety of tasks, with an understanding of how to prioritize based on urgency and being resourceful in a fast-paced environment
- Great interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders as needed
- Knowledge of A/B testing and user data analysis is a plus
- Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools is a plus
