JOB SUMMARY 

We’re looking for an experienced and agile People & Culture Business Partner to execute strategic and operational HR strategy and support cross-functionally. This role plays a pivotal role in enabling the business strategy through people, culture, and organizational effectiveness.

You’ll partner closely with Restaurant Support Center (RSC) leaders, cross-functional and cross-brand partners, and the Yum centers of excellence to deliver core people initiatives, drive engagement and culture, and ensure seamless execution of people planning and performance processes.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $98,400 to $120,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Strategic Partnership 

  • Partner with leadership teams to align people strategies with business goals across the organization
  • Support organizational design and workforce planning to enable the right capability, structure, and capacity for growth.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing guidance on leadership effectiveness, talent management, and team dynamics.

Business Planning & Core HR Processes

  • Support execution of key HR cycles, including performance management, talent reviews, and compensation.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on talent pipelines, succession, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment and consistency in people processes and decisions across teams.

Employee Relations & Operational Excellence

  • Support employee relations matters within the RSC team, ensuring fair, timely, and legally compliant resolution of issues.
  • Support HR operations teams to maintain a seamless employee experience.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to uphold best practices in employment law  

Culture & Engagement

  • Champion the Habit We Believe in Better culture across the organization – fostering engagement and a strong sense of belonging.
  • Support the rollout of culture and recognition initiatives that bring our values to life.
  • Analyze engagement feedback and partner with leaders to action meaningful changes.

Internal Communications

  • Manage internal communications, including RSC Newsletters, Town Halls, and organizational announcements.
  • Partner with the leadership team to craft clear, inspiring messages that align teams behind business priorities.

Talent & Capability

  • Partner with Learning & Development to identify critical capability gaps and deploy learning programs.
  • Support leadership development and coaching to strengthen people’s leadership across RSC.
  • Drive consistency and excellence in hiring, onboarding, and talent mobility.

HRBP Excellence

  • Collaborate with global and regional HR colleagues to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide initiatives and best practices.
  • Use data and insights to influence people's decisions and improve organizational performance.
  • Serve as a culture ambassador, role-modelling our commitment to belonging in the workplace.
Qualifications

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.

  • Proven HR Business Partner or equivalent experience in a fast-paced, multi-market or matrixed organization.

  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, HR best practices, people development, benefits, and culture.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and change leadership.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across various teams and markets.
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on to deliver results.
