We are seeking a dedicated and personable IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role requires 100% onsite presence, 5 days a week, at our primary location, with no hybrid work option. The ideal candidate will be patient, have strong interpersonal skills, and either possess or be eager to develop expertise in the responsibilities outlined below. A background in customer service is a plus.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Tickets- Password Resets (Shared): Assist with resetting user passwords as needed.
- Monitor/Peripheral Requests and Setups (Primary): Manage requests for monitors, keyboards, and other peripherals, including setup and configuration.
- Access Requests: Process requests for system and software access.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Configure and deploy laptops for new employees.
- Participate in Onboarding new employees
- Account Deactivation: Disable accounts for departing employees across approximately 15 non-automated services.
- Laptop Return Shipping: Coordinate the return of company laptops, including arranging shipping.
- Laptop Cleaning/Wiping/Reinstallation: Ensure returned laptops are wiped, cleaned, and reinstalled for future use.
- Asset Management: Oversee IT asset tracking and documentation.
- Receiving and Shipping: Handle the receipt and shipment of IT equipment as needed.
- Conference Room Support: Set up and maintain Zoom and other conferencing systems for meetings.
- Software and Hardware Maintenance/Troubleshooting: Ensure AV equipment and software are up-to-date and functional.
- Assist Marketing Team with Planning and logistics for events/conferences
Network Support
- LAN and WiFi Support: Provide support for local area network (LAN) and WiFi connectivity.
- Provide IT support for remote offices in Raleigh, NYC, and Amsterdam, ensuring seamless operations across locations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient and approachable demeanor.
- Familiarity with or eagerness to learn IT support tasks, including hardware/software troubleshooting, network support, and AV systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with laptop setup, account management, and inventory tracking is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of network systems (LAN, WiFi, routers, and switches) or willingness to learn.
- Ability to travel occasionally to support remote offices or offsite conferences.
- This role requires full-time onsite presence to support our team effectively.
- Industry-standard IT staffing ratios suggest a need for robust in-house support, and this role will contribute to maintaining a high level of service for our technology-intensive operations.
