The IT Support Engineer provides technical support to end-users, manages Microsoft Intune, and maintains Windows Server environments while automating tasks with PowerShell.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join our IT team and support our modern workplace environment. This role combines hands-on technical support with system administration responsibilities across Microsoft 365, virtualization, and Windows-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, automation, and understands how emerging AI technologies can enhance IT processes and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues, and efficiently troubleshooting and resolving problems.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Tier 2 support or other relevant teams, following established escalation protocols.
- Manage and support Microsoft Intune for device management, security policies, and application deployment
- Administer and Support Exchange Online, including user management and troubleshooting
- Maintain and operate basic Virtual Machine related tasks in VMware ESXi virtualized environments.
- General Understanding of Windows Server environments and related services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services)
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and reporting
- Support Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 applications
- Document IT procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Purchase, set up, and deploy new IT hardware and software, ensuring configurations align with organizational standards and security protocols.
AI Awareness & Innovation
- General understanding of AI technologies relevant to IT operations
- Ability to identify AI use cases in IT support automation, reporting, and knowledge management
- Openness to adopting AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and user experience
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Experience as an IT Support Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Exchange Online, VMware ESXi, and Windows Server environments
- Basic or moderate Networking Knowledge.
- PowerShell scripting skills for automation and administration
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Service-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID
- Knowledge of ITIL-based IT Service Management
- Relevant Microsoft, VMware, or IT certifications
- Programming language skills
