About the Role:
The IT Manager is responsible for leading Lastwall’s IT department, overseeing internal systems, asset management, security compliance, and employee technology support. This role reports to the Director of Engineering and ensures that the company’s IT infrastructure runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently across the organization.
In addition to managing day-to-day IT operations, the IT Manager spearheads onboarding/offboarding processes, ICAM, oversees hardware/software lifecycles, implements security protocols, and works alongside the security team to keep our systems secure.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the IT department, including setting priorities, building scalable processes, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Establish and maintain documentation, SLAs, and IT standards across all operational areas.
  • Build internal relationships to understand departmental needs and proactively recommend technical solutions.
  • Administer user accounts (creation, auditing, deactivation), permissions, and access controls.
  • Manage all corporate endpoints using JAMF for Apple device deployment and management.
  • Provide credential resets, application access, and other IT support functions.
  • Define and document troubleshooting and maintenance procedures across platforms.
  • Specify, procure, and maintain all company hardware and software.
  • Track and manage IT asset inventory, including issuance, health monitoring, lifecycle management, and responsible disposal.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing and deploy updates as needed.
  • Maintain office supply inventory related to technology and administration.
  • Lead all IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Deliver technical support and training to staff as needed.
  • Create and maintain self-service documentation and guides to empower users.
  • Research, test, and recommend new tools or systems to enhance IT operations and support Lastwall’s growth.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize IT processes and technologies.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to stay ahead of industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field—or equivalent certifications and experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant IT experience, with demonstrated leadership in a systems administration, IT operations, or infrastructure role.
  • Strong ICAM experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with JAMF or similar for device management.
  • Expert knowledge of Linux system administration.
  • Proven experience managing IT asset inventories, software deployments, and IT policies.
  • Skilled in project management, prioritization, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ethical, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold dual Canadian/U.S. citizenship.
