BAE Systems Enterprise Shared Services (ESS)-IT is looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager to join our team, leading our enterprise IT Governance and Lifecycle Improvement space. This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of IT governance frameworks and the BAE Systems enterprise Life Cycle Management (LCM) process for end-to-end IT product and project governance.
This role ensures IT investments are governed with transparency, consistency, and accountability while driving adoption of the enterprise LCM framework across products and project. By embedding governance and lifecycle discipline into the digital operating model, the Senior Manager directly enables the enterprise's digital transformation strategy.
With a direct report, the Senior Manager leads a small team that balances strategic process leadership with day-to-day governance execution, making this a highly visible and enterprise-impacting role.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 - $204000
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Key Responsibilities Include:
IT Governance Leadership
- Lead the development and improvement of IT governance frameworks aligned with enterprise strategy, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Partner with business and IT leaders to ensure governance enables effective investment prioritization, decision-making, and measurable value delivery.
- Provide governance dashboards, tools, and reporting that improve portfolio transparency and accountability.
- Own and improve adoption of the BAE Systems enterprise-managed Life Cycle Management (LCM) process for project and product governance.
- Ensure consistent use of the LCM framework across portfolios and integrate it into the digital operating model.
- Continuously refine LCM practices to balance agility with rigor, ensuring enterprise compliance and business enablement.
- Serve as the steward of the PAL (Process Asset Library), ensuring it remains the authoritative source for enterprise standards that are current, accessible, and adopted across functions.
- Define and embed Risk & Opportunity Management practices within governance and lifecycle checkpoints.
- Develop and maintain Basis of Estimates (BOE) standards to improve business case quality, investment rigor, and forecasting accuracy.
- Manage and coach a direct report, balancing strategic initiatives with operational responsibilities.
- Foster a culture of enablement and adoption - ensuring governance and LCM standards are embraced as value added enablers.
- Provide visibility and recognition for the team's contributions to enterprise transformation.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 10+ years' work experience with Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance models, enterprise lifecycle management, and enterprise process frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise adoption.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) or equivalent governance platforms.
- Knowledge of ITIL, CMMI, or related enterprise frameworks.
