Job Overview: As an IT Asset Management Analyst II, you'll play a key role in developing and implementing Software Asset Management strategies, conducting in-depth analyses of software inventory, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and cost savings. You'll work closely with IT, procurement, finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulations.
Job Summary: As an IT Asset Management Analyst II, you will take a mid-level position in managing the lifecycle of software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and optimizing software usage across the enterprise. You will be responsible for developing and implementing Software Asset Management strategies, conducting in-depth analyses of software inventory, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and cost savings.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Software Asset Management strategies to optimize usage and reduce costs
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with software licensing agreements and regulations, conducting regular audits to identify and mitigate risks
  • Maintain and oversee a detailed inventory of software assets, including licenses, installations, and usage metrics to support informed decision-making
  • Collaborate with IT, procurement, finance, and legal teams to align software asset management initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze software usage data to identify trends, opportunities for optimization, and potential areas for cost savings; generate and present reports to stakeholders

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, or a related field
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Experience with software asset management tools, such as ServiceNow, and license management systems
    • Strong understanding of software licensing agreements, compliance, and regulatory requirements

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Certifications:
    • Software Asset Management (SAM) certification, such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or Certified Professional in Software Asset Management (CPSAM)
    • ServiceNow Professional Certification (e.g. ServiceNow Certified Application Specialist - IT Service Management, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - IT Service Management)
    • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certification
  • Experience:
    • Experience with cloud-based software asset management solutions
    • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in software asset management
    • Certification in project management, such as PMP or Agile

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
