About the Role
The GoodRx Brand Team is looking for a Social Media & Community Content Intern for Summer 2021 who can help drive meaningful growth of our social media channels through innovative content strategy and insights. We’re looking for someone who can help manage the operational process of our organic social media program, build a library of customer stories and testimonials, and share our mission to inspire, empower, and celebrate Americans to take small daily steps towards a healthy life.
Reporting to the Brand Marketing Social Media Manager, this intern will take on key responsibilities in our work to expand our social media marketing efforts and deepen our relationships with GoodRx followers.
What you’ll do:
- QA, schedule, and post daily organic social media content.
- Assist in the ideation, strategy, and development of organic social media content (e.g. copywriting, strategy, content).
- Work closely with Social Media Manager and Social Media Community Manager on the development of social media engagement tactics and execution of social media strategy to help grow the GoodRx community on social media.
- Monitor and stay on top of emerging trends in social media, culture and applications to appropriately apply that knowledge for content creation.
- Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.
- Work with the Community Content Manager to develop and refine our library of customer testimonials.
- Final Project: Develop an organic social media-driven campaign that includes content from our editorial team and/or library of customer testimonials.
Requirements:
- Attending or recently graduated from a college or university.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Ability to work 20+ hours per week.
- Strong attention to detail - you’ll be sharing content across all GoodRx social media channels.
- Creative and critical thinker with a passion for helping others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong desire to learn and grow.
- You love a challenge and are always looking at what the current winning trends are on social and jump in on those trends.
