Role Description

As a key member of the Internal Communication and Culture team, you’ll play an integral role in engaging Dropboxers and telling the story of our transformation to our employees. Your work will enhance company-wide events like All Hands, Leadership Offsites, and product launches. Through compelling, engaging, and inspiring content, you’ll help distill our strategy and amplify our culture in a Virtual First environment.

You’ll be part of a high performing and highly respected Internal Communications and Culture team that is responsible for shaping how Dropboxers receive and understand strategic communications, creating high-quality content, and driving meaningful cultural change. Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the overall Internal Communications and Culture strategy to transform the Dropboxer experience and tell the story of our evolving company strategy to employees. 
  • Bring a creative, hard-working, and open mindset that’s focused on driving business alignment and employee engagement through change management and inspiring and exciting launches. 
  • Define and execute on strategy for key executives and programs for internal programming (e.g., All Hands, Leadership Offsites, Product Launches, Hack Weeks).
  • Create campaigns to amplify Dropbox’s company strategy internally, partnering with the Internal Creative and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with our Creative team to find new, unique, and innovative ways of engaging Dropboxers in our launches, strategy, and programs. 
  • Collaborate with our senior-most leaders on communications plans and programming, including our CEO, Chief Technology Officer, Chief People Officer, and business General Managers.  
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in internal and/or external communications. Background in tech or comms agency a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work directly with cross-functional partners (including senior leaders and executives), influence and inspire confidence, and manage up in a Virtual First environment is required
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate strategically and tactically. Proven ability to take initiative/develop and execute comms plans without extensive direction, as well as the ability to escalate and push back appropriately 
  • Highly motivated and driven with a strong sense of purpose and hunger to solve complex problems, in addition to a proven ability to persist in challenging, fast-paced or dynamic/ambiguous situations
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and thoughtful, adaptable writing skills, with a proven ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize and distill a wide variety of complex information
  • Experience developing company-wide content/campaigns, with a creative edge
  • Embody a positive can-do attitude, sense of curiosity, and a growth mindset
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comms agency experience - willing to consider work in a comparable role in an external comms function or another exec/internal comms role in-house
