Role Description

As the End User Computing & Collaboration Manager in Dropbox's Corporate IT organization, you will lead a distributed team responsible for delivering a secure, scalable, and innovative end user compute and collaboration platform. This team builds, integrates, and maintains the foundational technologies that power our virtual-first workforce, enabling Dropboxers to work productively and securely across macOS, Windows, SaaS tools, and endpoint environments. You will play a key role in improving user experience, leading modern workplace technology strategies, and driving integration and automation across our collaboration stack (Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, Dropbox, Dash, etc.).

This is a highly cross-functional leadership position, requiring strong partnership with Engineering, Security, Procurement, Internal Communications, and Human Resources. You will get exposure to senior leadership while helping define the digital workplace strategy at Dropbox.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the End User Computing & Collaboration team to deliver secure, performant, and delightful user experiences across collaboration tools and endpoints.
  • Drive strategic planning, roadmap definition, and execution of initiatives across endpoint management, identity, collaboration tools, automation, and integration.
  • Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and Procurement on compliance, renewals, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of SaaS stack automation and virtual-first enablement projects (e.g. Zoom/Miro integration, AI-based collaboration workflows).
  • Partner with Internal Communications and Virtual First teams to enhance adoption and training for collaboration tooling.
  • Ensure system health, proactive support, and operational excellence, including support for KTLO and on-call rotations.
  • Build a high-performing team by mentoring, coaching, and investing in talent development.
  • Champion Dropbox’s culture and cultivate a team environment aligned with our Virtual First principles.
Requirements
  • 4+ years experience managing technical teams in end user compute, IT infrastructure, or collaboration technology domains.
  • Deep knowledge of core enterprise SaaS tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, Okta).
  • Experience managing macOS and Windows endpoints (Intune, Jamf) and SaaS automation workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance in the context of collaboration tools.
  • Excellent communication, program management, and team leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with scripting or automation platforms (e.g., Python, GAM, Google APIs, Slack workflows).
  • Background in managing enterprise-wide tool migrations or workplace technology transformations.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile/Lean methodologies, and service management best practices.
  • Prior experience supporting Virtual First or distributed workforce models.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
