Internal Audit is a critical function of the Capital Group (CG) which assists business areas in identifying and evaluating their key risks and controls and, where appropriate, recommending enhancements to their controls. 

As an Internal Audit Analyst, you’ll play a key role in identifying and evaluating key operational risks and controls that help our business leaders ensure operational effectiveness and strengthen the control environment. Partnering closely with business partners across Capital Group globally, you will be responsible for validating the design and operational effectiveness of our key controls. To thrive in this role, you’ve been successful in an audit-related position where you’ve been able to assess process, test operating effectiveness, and recommend controls that mitigate risk.

  • You have experience in preparing components of operational, technology and/or regulatory compliance audits, including preparation of audit documentation (risks, controls, test plans) based on information identified from process overview discussions
  • You have experience in testing the operating effectiveness of key controls for processes of low to medium complexity
  • You have experience in the identification and documentation of control enhancements recommendations. You have also tracked the status of control enhancements to completion
  • You have prepared the documentation in support of presentations to executive management, governance committees, and other stakeholders to discuss identified risks and opportunities to strengthen the control environment
  • You have good risk management and internal controls knowledge of core operational, technology and regulatory compliance processes, including of an asset manager’s core operations is preferred
  • You have an ability to identify and interpret meaningful information by interrogating large amounts of data (i.e., data analytics experience)
  • You have good written and verbal communication skills, including with larger groups and you can collaborate with project team members regionally and globally
  • You have the ability to prioritize assigned work and complete activities in a timely manner across multiple projects

Orange County Base Salary Range: $89,881-$143,810

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
