About the Role
Marvelous Works is looking for a detail-oriented intern to support our Partnerships team with day-to-day campaign operations. In this role, you’ll focus on deploying and loading email outreach sequences, ensuring everything is accurate, organized, and ready for execution. This internship is ideal for students or early-career professionals with a strong interest in the media sales industry who want hands-on experience in sales operations while working part-time (2–3 hours per day).

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in deploying cold email outreach sequences for client accounts, ensuring templates and variables are correctly formatted for personalized messaging
  • Load campaign assets into the platform and confirm correct scheduling, compliance, and alignment with campaign goals
  • Maintain database hygiene, including updating brand and company records and preventing duplicate entries
  • Work closely with Partnerships Managers to ensure sequences are launched smoothly and on schedule

Who You Are

  • Media-Savvy. You have knowledge of the media landscape (publishers, agencies, brands) and are curious about how advertising deals get made.
  • Detail-Oriented. You notice small errors and take pride in getting things right the first time.
  • Organized. You can keep multiple tasks moving at once and stay on top of deadlines.
  • Reliable. You’re consistent, responsive, and able to dedicate at least 2–3 hours per day to support the team.
  • Quick Learner. You’re comfortable working with new tools and processes in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the media sales industry – including how publishers, advertisers, and agencies interact
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using spreadsheets, CRMs, or similar database tools
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 2–3 hours per day, Monday–Friday (flexible within EST/PST hours)
  • Collaborative and communicative, able to support Partnerships Managers effectively

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
