We are seeking an individual that is eager to learn and grow in the IT field for our internship trainee program. The primary purpose of our internship trainee program is to develop individuals who want a career in the IT/MSP space to the point where they have the technical knowledge and skills required to be effective system engineers. As an Atlas Technica Intern Trainee, you will be provided with training and hands-on experience in basic aspects of IT service delivery. You will work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to real-world IT challenges in the Alternative Investment industry.  Successful participants in this 90-day trainee program will graduate to become full-fledged Interns and be eligible to be evaluated again in 3-6 months for consideration to be promoted to a Junior Systems Engineer.  

The program is designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of IT service delivery and prepare you for a career in the industry.  Participants may be required to work on-site at client offices. The participant may also be expected to work at an Atlas regional office if one is in your area. 

Criteria for successful completion of 90-day program: 

  • Positive feedback from trainers, co-workers, and clients 
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly 
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

Responsibilities: 

  • Learn to assist in the delivery of basic IT services to clients. 
  • Learn and apply industry best practices and methodologies 
  • Learn to provide support to clients, both remotely and on-site, as needed 
  • Learn and apply troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve IT issues 
  • Learn to use a ticketing system to manage support queries. 

Requirements: 

  • A strong desire to learn and grow in the IT/MSP space 
  • Some experience with IT support (6 months to a year), or the A+ certification 
  • Ability to deliver great customer service (communicating clearly, managing expectations, following up) 

The candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job, which include but are not limited to, the following; must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs; stand/sit for extended periods of time; push/pull; climb stairs; stoop, kneel or crouch; use fingers/hands to handle or feel; reach above head or below knee level; and the ability to work around machinery and material handling equipment. 

Desirable Qualities: 

  • Familiarity with Managed Service Provider operations 
  • Familiarity with Windows 10, Office 365 
  • Experience with basic TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP 
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016 or higher 
  • Should be able to intuitively troubleshoot. 
  • Have good problem-solving skills. 

Compensation: 

$23/hour
