Intern - Technical
Based at Bodywear, Rathmalana
We are looking for an individual who will support the technical team in pattern development, grading, sample evaluation, and fit related activities. This role provides hands on exposure to garment technical operations while assisting the team in ensuring product accuracy and quality throughout the development process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in manual and system based pattern making activities.
- Support pattern grading activities according to technical requirements.
- Participate in customer fit sessions and assist in recording fit comments and alterations.
- Conduct sample measurements and maintain measurement records.
- Assist the Technical team in preparing and updating technical documentation.
- Support development activities to ensure product specifications are accurately executed.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support product development requirements.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Following a relevant Degree (BSc/RMIT) or Diploma (NDT) in Textile and Apparel, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of garment pattern making and garment construction.
- Understanding of pattern grading concepts and measurement standards.
- Good analytical and attention to detail skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
