When you join Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP), you’re committing to making a difference. We make a commitment to you, too – helping you to find that spark, ignite your passion to serve, and embark on a career with meaning and purpose.

At WWP™, we recognize our mission cannot be accomplished without our talented teammates, which is why we’re proud to offer benefits such as:

·       A flexible hybrid work schedule (three days in the office, two days’ work from home)

·       Full medical, dental, and vision coverage for both teammates AND family members

·       Competitive pay and performance incentives

·       A fun, mission-focused, and collaborative team environment

A mission that matters is just the beginning, so if you’re ready to get started, we’re ready for you.

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Project Odyssey program is a 12 week mental health initiative that combines a five day, in person adventure-based workshop with ongoing hybrid support to help warriors build resilience, achieve personal goals, and make lasting positive changes. It connects warriors through shared experiences, serves them with essential mental health resources, and empowers them to step outside their comfort zones to strengthen confidence, resilience, and relationships.
The Project Odyssey Intern will gain exposure to experiential education, adaptive recreation, program logistics, and participant engagement through observation, shadowing, and supervised participation in program planning, curriculum discussions, and local events. Through mentorship and guided learning, the intern will develop foundational knowledge of group facilitation support, safety considerations, partnership coordination, and nonprofit program operations within a mission-driven environment serving wounded warriors.
Note: This internship is unpaid and is designed to offer educational training similar to that of an academic setting. The duration of the internship will not surpass 16 weeks.

APPLICANT ALERT: This is an unpaid internship opportunity for qualified applicants, and requires in-person attendance, three days each week at our San Diego, CA location. This is not a virtual position.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
