We are partnering with an organization seeking an Interim Director of Accounting to provide leadership and oversight of accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance initiatives. This role will work closely with executive leadership to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead accounting operations and financial reporting functions
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Manage audit preparation and external reporting requirements
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Drive process improvement and system optimization initiatives
- Lead and mentor accounting team members
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior Director, Controller, or senior accounting leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience leading teams and managing complex accounting functions
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
