The opportunity

The Integrations Product Owner provides ownership and prioritization across the enterprise integrations landscape, ensuring that data movement and integration between systems, including the organization's cloud-based enterprise data platform, is aligned with business value, enterprise architecture, and institutional priorities. This role establishes clear accountability for integration decisions and works cross-functionally to build alignment and drive integration capabilities forward in a coordinated, scalable, and value-driven manner.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the integrations product backlog, roadmap, and prioritization across enterprise systems.
  • Define integration requirements in partnership with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Sequence and prioritize integration work based on business value, downstream consumption needs, technical dependencies, and platform capacity.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and enterprise architecture to evaluate integration scope, pattern selection, and trade-offs, driving toward consensus and shared buy-in rather than acting as sole authority.
  • Partner with architecture and governance teams to help ensure integration patterns are applied where they drive clear business or latency value, rather than by default, and to keep integrations aligned with data governance and security standards.
  • Coordinate across engineering, architecture, AI/ML, and business teams to ensure delivery clarity and alignment.
  • Translate business needs into actionable, well-defined business requirements for engineering teams.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand current and evolving needs, and coordinate the onboarding of new software or systems into the integrations landscape in partnership with the engineering group.
  • Establish and maintain visibility into integration demand, progress, and delivery outcomes.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps in integration capability and work with the relevant teams to drive resolution.
  • Build understanding of how AI/ML capabilities consume and depend on integrated data, and factor those needs into integration prioritization and design conversations.
  • Uses approved Artificial Intelligence tools and emerging technologies responsibly in alignment with SNHU guidance as part of regular role responsibilities.
  • Monitor outcomes and continuously refine prioritization to maximize business value.
  • Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential functions of this role
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Job responsibilities can change at any time, with or without notice.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Years of experience: 7+ years of experience in a combination of product ownership, business analysis, software delivery, software development, or solution architecture
  • Degree(s): Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • Equivalent of experience in lieu of degree acceptable:  x   Yes    No
  • Professional certification(s): N/A
  • Experience managing product backlogs, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment, or comparable experience leading technical delivery and translating it into business-facing decisions
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, data movement, and cross-system dependencies
  • Working knowledge of integration patterns, including batch ETL/ELT and event-driven/streaming (CDC)
  • Familiarity with modern cloud data platform concepts (e.g., a stack such as Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Kafka/Event Hubs, Delta Lake, or similar tools serving equivalent purposes) sufficient to understand platform capabilities and have informed conversations with engineering and architecture.
    • Hands-on development experience is not required, and the ability to learn a specific stack is more important than specific exposure
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and drive decisions across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Experience translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams
  • Experience evaluating integration solutions for data ingestion and delivery at scale
  • Experience working in complex, multi-system or enterprise environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Agile or product delivery environments
  • Familiarity with how AI/ML systems integrate with and consume data from an enterprise data platform, including relevant considerations for efficiency, security, and governance
  • Familiarity with using AI tools to support day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness in managing and coordinating with engineering teams (e.g., synthesizing technical discussions, drafting requirements, tracking work)
  • Background in higher education or similarly complex organizations

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
