As an Instructional Designer within our Learning & Development Team, you will play a key role in shaping and developing relevant, effective, and inclusive online and blended-learning courses for the firm. You will provide leadership and direction through all phases of a learning project—design, development, delivery, and evaluation—to create innovative, engaging learning experiences. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative and high-performance environment.

This role requires expertise in instructional design, strong communication and LMS capabilities, and a deep understanding of adult learning theory. You’ll have the opportunity to build and manage full-scale learning solutions that help our clients and internal teams succeed.

This is a remote position that can work from anywhere within the United States. We are committed to finding the right person for this role. What you’ll do at SN:

  • Scope, design, and develop high-quality, brand-aligned learning content
  • Lead and manage instructional design direction throughout all project phases
  • Apply instructional best practices, learning theories, and scenario-based learning methods
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to align learning experiences with business goals
  • Build learning resources using authoring tools and coordinate development in the LMS
  • Evaluate, test, and optimize all learning content and tools for effectiveness and technical quality
  • Guide SMEs in using templates and tools to develop content
  • Review and provide feedback on eLearning modules and LMS integration
  • Troubleshoot LMS-related issues and assist with maintenance and implementation
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams on complex learning projects

What you may have done before:

  • Designed instructional materials for professional services firms
  • Worked with subject matter experts to develop online and blended learning experiences
  • Created learning assessments and implemented iterative design approaches
  • Supported LMS administration and content testing
  • Worked in the AEC industry

What it takes to be a Instructional Designer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in Architecture, Engineering or Construction industry
  • Practical experience translating learning outcomes into structured lessons and programs
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools and multimedia creation (video/audio)
  • Strong project planning and time management skills
  • Expertise in adult learning theory and scenario-based learning approaches
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and visualization skills
  • Experience with LMS platforms (Docebo preferred)
  • Portfolio or examples of previous work required

Salary: The salary range for this position is an estimate of $75,000 - $90,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
