JOB POSITION SUMMARY

At Mosaic Learning, the Instructional Designer I supports the development of engaging and effective learning experiences. In this role, you will assist senior instructional team members with course development, collaborate with team members to refine and organize content, and grow your expertise in instructional design methodologies. This role is designed to support your professional development while contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality learning solutions.

Role & Responsibility:

  • Assist in the development of instructional materials under the direction of the Instructional Designer II and Senior Instructional Designers. 
  • Contribute to the creation of learning content, including content retrieval, instructor-led training, eLearning, and simulation materials. 
    • Materials could include needs analysis, content outlines, voiceover scripts, knowledge checks, activities, assessments, instructor guides, student guides, job aids, slide decks, and elearning modules.   
  • Support the instructional design team with research, content organization, and formatting, ensuring deliverables adhere to quality and consistency standards.
  • Participate in client meetings as needed, primarily in a support role. 
  • Collaborate with SME’s in group settings to gather and clarify content.
  • Use project management tools (Monday.com) to update tasks and track progress.
  • Apply feedback from team members to improve deliverables. 

In addition to their learning and design skills, an Instructional Designer I:

  • Receives mentorship from Instructional Designer II and Senior Instructional Designers.
  • Participates in internal team reviews and collaborates in a feedback-driven environment.
  • Contributes ideas to improve instructional content and workflows.

Requirements & Qualifications:

This role requires a strong ability to:

  • Communicate effectively within a collaborative team. 
  • Organize complex information into structured learning formats.
  • Work on multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines with guidance.
  • Follow detailed instructions and ask questions when necessary.
  • Proficiently use Articulate Storyline and all Microsoft Office tools. 

Qualifications include:

  • Coursework in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or a related field.
  • At least one year of instructional design work experience.
  • Prior work with Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools like ChatGPT or AWS’ PartyRock a plus
