Job Opportunity

SWTCH is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to help us scale and grow our business in the US West region. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible with assisting the Sales Development Manager with coaching and mentoring a team of SDRs who are tasked with generating qualified leads and driving pipeline growth, while also carrying their own revenue targets and piloting new tools and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SaaS sales, a passion for coaching and developing talent, and a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets. This role is crucial for scaling our inbound sales efforts and ensuring the team’s success in a fast-paced environment.

This is a fully remote role, and you must work in the PST time zone. There is a strong preference for the candidate to reside in the Western US states.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and Support the SDR Team. Mentor SDRs to improve outreach, objection handling, and conversion rates; assist with onboarding, training, and hiring efforts to accelerate team performance.
  • Manage and Convert Inbound Leads. Own the inbound funnel, providing timely and consultative responses to drive qualified opportunities and close deals against a personal quota.
  • Take Ownership of Opportunities. Manage assigned opportunities from qualification through to a successful closed-won outcome, ensuring a high-conversion, full-cycle sales process.
  • Drive Pipeline and Forecasting Excellence. Maintain accurate CRM data, conduct pipeline reviews, and deliver reliable sales forecasts while re-engaging dormant leads to ensure deal flow.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally. Work with marketing, sales leadership, and product teams to refine lead quality, messaging, and overall go-to-market strategy.
  • Leverage Tools and Market Insights. Stay on top of industry trends and sales technology—evaluate and implement tools like AI and outreach platforms to improve team efficiency and performance.

Requirements
  • Minimum of a post-secondary degree
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, and customer management
  • Experience in relevant industries such as real estate development, transportation, or energy
  • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning, and implementing skills.
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of and passion for clean energy and mobility sectors
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce)

Benefits
  • Business Impact - As a core member of the sales team, you have the opportunity to take a lead role and make a significant impact on the culture and values of the company.
  • Environmental Impact - We are a clean energy company with a mission to reduce carbon emissions globally to ensure a clean and sustainable future.
  • Diversity - People develop their talents and skills in different ways. We value different paths and experiences. If you think you meet the qualifications we are seeking, take a chance and express.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
