Job Description:

The Inside Sales Account Manager (ISAM) is responsible for developing and implementing the core strategies and tactics to drive Acute Care and Alternate Care sales performance within their assigned territory while working alongside the Strategic Account Manager (SAM). The ISAM will be responsible for retaining the current Metrex business while expanding the footprint within the mutually agreed upon accounts.  Additionally, the ISAM will take share in targeted accounts and IDNs where there is currently no existing business.

Uncovering new business and developing strong leads for the outside sales team is a key responsability for the ISAM. This would include, cold calling, account research prior to contacting, strong product knowledge, and understanding the entire Acute Care and Alternate Care market landscape. The ISAM is expected to collaborate internally and externally with all stakeholders including sales management, marketing, MedPro sales team, national accounts team, and sales operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving sales growth within assigned territory.
  • Develop new accounts through proactive outbound calls, prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Responsible for identifying, ranking, prospecting, and developing key contacts in hospital-based and Alternate Care business relationships within targeted territory.
  • Achieve designated call expectations for assigned monthly quota with a focus on top targets, key influencers, and pipeline leads within these accounts.
  • Provide sales support to existing accounts and obtain new orders to grow market share.
  • Follow-up on leads from a variety of sources.
  • Daily utilization of CRM and updating all call activity into each account.
  • Support the Strategic Account managers to uncover new opportunities
  • Collaborate with the National Accounts Manager on Top 30 IDNs.
  • Retain current Metrex business in installed base accounts.
  • Expand the product footprint in currently installed base accounts.
  • Take market share within health systems where Metrex has no footprint.
  • Delivering multiple virtual presentations (in conjunction with the SAM) in a month either in person or virtually. Presentations shall include product specs, marketing information, promotional product information, introduction, and explanation, discussion of application specs and include the use of company-provided slides, video, computer, and/or other presentation material.
  • Assist the SAM in understanding of the entire ordering process of each customer on your target list.
  • Engage the MedPro sales team to assist in lead generation in their respective territories.
  • Support ongoing product training and assist in retraining customer base in proper procedures to use with Metrex products.
  • Complete all assigned training for products

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of inside or outside sales experience with a proven track record of success
  • Experience in outbound calling to the Acute Care Hospital (IDN) healthcare market, medical or dental industry is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Experience using a CRM (Salesforce, MX Dynamic, etc.) a plus
  • Excellent communication, territory management, and time management skills.
