POSITION PURPOSE:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, this role is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of CIM’s IT infrastructure architecture, as well as planning and maintenance of servers and data networks. The Infrastructure Engineer works with other Technology staff to identify system needs, propose solutions, and implement system changes. This role reinforces the Company’s security and operations by keeping back-end technology running, maintaining and improving the firm’s cybersecurity posture, and overseeing administration of MS Office 365 and Azure tenants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This role will work on architecture design, deployment, and management of the following, but not limited to:
- o File servers
- o Application servers
- o Database servers
- o Active Directory (including Group Policy)
- o Backup & Disaster Recovery
- o Server virtualization
- o Storage infrastructure
- o Datacenter infrastructure
- o Firewalls
- o Cloud infrastructure (SaaS & IaaS)
- o Corporate Wide Area Network
- o Local Area Networks
- o Mobile Device Management
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows servers
- Establish server & network specifications using industry best practices; analyze workflow, access, information, and security requirements
- Evaluate network performance including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency
- Provide service for escalated incidents and problems using ServiceNow
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred (e.g. Computer Science)
- Minimum six years of experience in an infrastructure role
- Industry Certifications a plus (e.g. CCNA, Azure Administrator Associate)
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Server systems and technologies
- Expert knowledge of VMware or comparable Hypervisor stack
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating systems
- Strong knowledge of network fundamentals, design and implementation (IP, gateway, DNS, routing)
- Strong knowledge of network devices (Routers, Switches, Wireless)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Experience with PowerShell
- Experience with Microsoft SQL
- Experience with Mobile Device Management Solutions
- Understanding of cloud environments: Office365, Azure, etc.

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role is eligible for bonus pay in addition to base salary. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles, California is $100,000 - $140,000.
