Who We’re Looking For

An experienced Information Systems Administrator to provide day-to-day technical administration for information technology, engineering, and infrastructure initiatives across the organization. This role supports IT systems, software, cybersecurity, and infrastructure planning and implementation, while coordinating closely with engineering programs and external partners as needed.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supporting day-to-day technical implementation of information technology, engineering, and infrastructure initiatives within the organization
  • Provide technical advice and administration for all company IT resources and software account
  • Coordinates and manages assets including procurement, provisioning, maintenance, and deprovisioning
  • May participate in identification, evaluation and recommendations on IT based solutions and vendors
  • Supports the implementation and administration of cyber security systems to protect all Quantum Space devices, software, and related IT systems
  • Facilitate the implementation of software and hardware systems necessary for efficient business operations throughout Quantum Space

What It Takes

  • Provide advanced support of a diverse array of operating systems across platforms: Linux (Debian-based and RHEL-based distributions), macOS, and Windows
  • Support and implement interoperability between different operating system architectures within the corporate and I&T application boundaries
  • Understand various networking technologies and the ability to provide logical network implementations, including routing, switching, access-control, and LAN/VLAN/WLAN methodologies
  • Understand scripting languages (BASH/Shell/YAML) and development of scripts consistent with automation processes
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) and working through source code control
  • Advanced hardware and network troubleshooting and resolution
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
  • Knowledge of IdP/SAML integration
  • Knowledge of virtualization, containerization, micro-services, and IaaS / PaaS / SaaS services
  • Understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment and source control services, support, and deployment
  • The ability to troubleshoot software and OS issues through data aggregation and log review
  • Coordination of project activities and work for engineering programs
  • The ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, including development of playbooks, runbooks, and procedures
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in System Administration, DevOps, cloud, and network support
  • CompTIA Security+ certification and the ability to maintain DoD 8570.01 IAT/IAM certification
  • The ability to hold and maintain a security clearance

Location: Hawthorne, CA 

Base Salary: $100,000 - $150,000

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Quantum Space's total compensation package.

Additional Requirements

To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
