We are currently hiring an Information System Security Officer (ISSO). This position can be fully remote within the US. The Cybersecurity Professional will provide support to the appointed Information System Security Manager (ISSM). 

Candidates should have a DoD Secret clearance and must be located in the United States.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist the ISSM meeting his/her duties and responsibilities by providing guidance and recommendations related to Assessment and Authorization (A&A), including the review of eMASS records, and submitted artifacts (documentation, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), etc.) for accuracy, completion, and applicability. 
  • Implement comprehensive Continuous Monitoring (CONMON) strategies in alignment with Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines, ensuring real-time automated monitoring and effective integration of security controls for systems entering cATO status.
  • Support the ISSM in selecting appropriate security controls for the Information System (IS).
  • Support the maintenance and update of the Authorization package, as appropriate.
  • Participate in maintenance and management of the POA&M.
  • Participate in ensuring the system security measures comply with applicable government policies.
  • Attend and participate in weekly Configuration/Change Assurance Board (CAB) meetings, as requested.
  • Assist drafting, producing, and support maintenance of cybersecurity artifacts and documentation appropriately (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)).
  • Review analyzed output of required ACAS scans and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists and maintain situational awareness of scanning cycle/schedule.
  • Make recommendations and assist in implementing the IS security policies and procedures, as defined by cybersecurity-related documentation and at the direction of the ISSM.
  • Participate in and offer recommendations related to Information Assurance (IA) activities (i.e. FISMA, A&A, etc.), as requested.  
  • Monitor audit log activities to ensure audit logs are being reviewed, analyzed, and stored per applicable requirements and as documented in cybersecurity-related documentation.
  • Support other objectives, as directed by the ISSM, commensurate with commonly accepted ISSO roles and responsibilities.

What You'll Bring:

  • The Cybersecurity Professional will have and maintain at least a DoD Secret clearance.
  • The Cybersecurity Professional will possess current and relevant information assurance program management, to include Risk Management Framework experience commensurate with traditional responsibilities.
  • Working experience as a SCA-V
  • Candidates should posses Security+ and DoD 8570 certification

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $118,000 - $150,000 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
