You will work across gaming, tabletop, TCG, collecting, lifestyle, and entertainment creator communities to build programs that feel authentic to creators and valuable to players.

You will independently own Riftbound’s global influencer strategy, guide regional execution, represent creator needs in product and campaign planning, and develop scalable programs that support Riftbound’s long-term growth.

You will report to the Editor-in-Chief, Riftbound Publishing team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and own the global influencer strategy for Riftbound in support of product and publishing priorities.
  • Build creator programs across launches, product releases, organized-play moments, live events, and ongoing community engagement.
  • Partner with Brand, Community, Social, PR, Creative, Organized Play, Events, Commercial, and Product teams to integrate creators into campaign planning.
  • Identify and develop relationships with creators across TCG, tabletop, gaming, collecting, lifestyle, and adjacent communities.
  • Create a balanced portfolio of scaled programs and bespoke creator partnerships.
  • Represent creator needs and expectations in product development, campaign planning, and live-service discussions.
  • Develop creator briefs, engagement models, toolkits, and guidance that can be adapted by regional teams.
  • Partner with regional influencer teams to localize global strategy and maintain consistency across markets.
  • Manage creator relationships, agency partnerships, contracting, onboarding, and campaign execution.
  • Establish campaign goals and performance metrics, analyze results, and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor creator sentiment, platform trends, industry developments, and emerging opportunities.
  • Lead escalation and issue-resolution processes involving creators, agencies, or campaign execution.
  • Serve as a craft partner to regional influencer managers and share best practices across the influencer community.
Required Qualifications
  • 6-8 years of experience in influencer marketing, creator partnerships, talent management, or a related field.
  • Experience independently developing and executing influencer strategies from planning through measurement.
  • Experience working directly with creators, streamers, talent representatives, and agencies.
  • Strong understanding of creator needs, content development, and the creator lifecycle.
  • Experience leading cross-functional campaigns involving multiple internal teams and external partners.
  • Knowledge of major social, video, and livestreaming platforms and their role in creator strategy.
  • Experience developing campaign goals, performance metrics, reporting, and strategic recommendations.
  • Strong project-management, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and make decisions in ambiguous or evolving situations.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Riftbound: the League of Legends trading card game.
  • Experience in trading card games, tabletop games, collectibles, hobby products, or organized play.
  • Knowledge of TCG and tabletop creators across North America and international markets.
  • Knowledge of Esports and Riot creators across North America and international markets.
  • Experience launching a new game, product, or entertainment brand.
  • Experience developing global programs that are localized for regional audiences.
  • Experience working with physical products, product seeding, or creator education programs.
  • Familiarity with co-streaming, live events, tournaments, and creator broadcast programs.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, budgets, and contracting workflows.
  • Personal interest in trading card games and creator communities.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
