What You'll Do: 

As an Industrial Designer, you will work with a cross-functional team of Marketing, Product, Brand, and business leaders to bring our ideas to life with your creative execution and good product design judgment. You will have a critical role of concepting and developing new products. In this role you will contribute to all aspects of industrial design and product innovation, taking products from concept through production.

  • Contribute to all aspects of industrial design and take products from concept through production
  • Developing new products and improving existing items
  • Manage all aspects of the product development process on assigned projects from initial concept to generating new product innovations
  • Conceptualize new product concepts through ideation sketching, mockups, 3D CAD, and presentation
  • Perform competitive assessments, product research, and study customer reviews
  • Participate in user testing to collect consumer insight and analyze feedback to determine if designs meet customer needs and safety requirements
  • Make recommendations for product function and feature specification.
  • Must possess knowledge of hard goods and soft goods
  • Responsible for working closely with the Engineering, Marketing, Costing, and Compliance departments to establish key product features
  • Analyze and help define color, materials, and finishes. Collaborate with the Branding team to drive brand consistency across all products
  • Assess product obstacles and use design skills to complete the project successfully
  • Coordinate with PMO to complete project tasks and meet shipping schedule
  • Other duties may be assigned

Bring It! 

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Industrial Design or Product Design from four-year university or equivalent preferred and 1-3 years’ experience
  • Must possess knowledge of hard goods, soft goods, and electronics
  • Ability to work on all phases of the design process, including trend research, innovate, and develop products
  • Must possess some knowledge of manufacture and molding techniques, including injection molding, blow molding, rotocast, compression / liquid injection molding
  • Must be proficient in Solidworks, KeyShot, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with excellent time management
  • Ability to thoughtfully communicate your designs, receive feedback gracefully, and contribute to the work of others
  • Excellent team player and independent worker

Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000
