Indirect Services Technology Specialist

- Lead service delivery for a team driving the development of system interfaces and automation solutions, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.
- Manage service performance for a dedicated quality assurance team, focused on delivering high standards in software testing and product reliability.
- Evaluate, prioritize, and deliver system enhancement requests to improve functionality and user experience.
- Deploy technology solutions that ensure full alignment with regulatory compliance standards and controls.
- Implement complex solutions and engage with different segments of the business to meet overall business objectives (Business, Infrastructure, ERP, Saas provider, etc)
- Proactively identify areas of improvement and deploy innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and quality.
- Support Caterpillar's enterprise data strategy in both the indirect procurement and facilities data domains by acting as a data architect.
- Oversee the implementation and management of Coupa and GEP platforms for indirect procurement across the global Caterpillar enterprise, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence.
What You Have:
- Position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or related field, or relevant experience
- Experience developing or supporting IT applications.
- Analytical, problem solving, and project and technical leadership skills.

- Manages application-related issues, implications, and approaches with clients.
- Evaluates key interfaces and interdependencies among core applications systems.
Problem Solving:
- Ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort.
- Use varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.
- Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes.
- Develop successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems.
Requirements Analysis:
- Plays an active or leading role in recording and storing requirement documents in various forms.
- Produces detailed functional and information requirements models and documentation.
System Testing:
- Verifies the proper flow of transactions across all input, output and storage channels or devices.
- Evaluates interoperability of new systems with existing systems during the beta testing phase.
- Designs processes to ensure that the system meets and maintains requirements and expectations.
Technical Troubleshooting:
- Discovers, analyzes, and resolves hardware, software, or application problems.
- Oversees calls related to product features, applications, and compatibility standards.
- Analyzes code, logs, and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting.
IT Service Management (ITSM):
- Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) service; ability to manage IT services and oversee service operations.
- Promotes the use of standard procedures in each function of IT services.
