About Ascertain

Ascertain is a healthcare technology company based in New York City, building AI agents to automate the administrative work that burdens care teams. Our platform combines structured and unstructured data with clinical logic to streamline workflows in care management and revenue cycle — eliminating tedious manual tasks like prior authorizations, referrals, and documentation so clinicians and support staff can focus on patients.

We’re already live in production with major health systems and have been trusted to automate high-impact workflows in complex environments. Ascertain’s backers include Northwell Health, New York’s largest health system, and Deerfield Management, a leading healthcare investment firm. These partnerships give us deep roots in care delivery and the long-term support to build with rigor.

We’re on a mission to restore time, trust, and focus to the people who keep healthcare running. Our work is urgent — not because of startup timelines, but because our customers rely on us to drive financial resilience and operational clarity in a system under strain.

About the Job

As the Director of Partner Solutions, you will lead post-sale success and retention efforts for Ascertain’s most important partners. This role is ideal for someone with experience in healthcare technology, SaaS implementation, or healthcare consulting who’s ready to build a high-impact function from the ground up.

You will own end-to-end customer success after the initial sale: guiding pilot delivery, driving change management and adoption, and ensuring long-term retention and expansion. You’ll work directly with care management and revenue cycle teams to make sure our platform integrates smoothly into their daily workflows, delivering real, measurable value.

implementations to ongoing customer success initiatives and onboarding for future products. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure each deployment delivers measurable impact, provides clear ROI metrics for go-to-market decisions, and sets the stage for seamless adoption of our offerings.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for an operator who thrives in ambiguity, leverages data to drive decisions, and is passionate about helping healthcare teams succeed. You’ll help define our partner success strategy, build scalable SOPs and playbooks, and shape the partner experience. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to grow into a formal leadership role and build a team.

This position will be based out of our office in New York City on a hybrid basis, but for the right candidate, we are open to remote work.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead Solution Deployments: Manage all phases of customer onboarding (planning, configuration, testing, training, go-live, support) with clear project plans, milestones, and risk mitigation.
  • Drive Impact Metrics: Define and track data-driven KPIs (e.g., time saved, turnaround reduction) to demonstrate ROI and inform GTM decisions.
  • Engage Stakeholders: Act as primary client contact—conduct interviews, map workflows, and present to executives; design change-management strategies to ensure adoption by frontline teams.
  • Ensure Ongoing Success: Build and maintain dashboards tracking post-implementation results; hold regular business reviews; develop a scalable customer-success framework (onboarding, training, support, upsell).
  • Plan for Future Products: Create a standardized onboarding playbook for upcoming offerings; partner with Product/Engineering to integrate new features and pilot beta rollouts.
  • Develop Training Assets: Produce role-based curricula, quick-start guides, FAQs, and video tutorials; coordinate train-the-trainer workshops and follow-up clinics.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Sales to transition deals into implementations; relay client needs to Product/Engineering; supply Marketing/GTM teams with case studies and customer insights.
What You'll Need:
  • 4+ years of healthcare IT or SaaS implementation/project-management experience, or 3+ years of management consulting experience with a focus in healthcare.
  • Ideal candidates will have exposure to revenue-cycle management, case management, or prior-authorization workflows in hospitals or health systems.
  • Proven track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder implementations and delivering quantifiable results.
  • Experience defining scalable onboarding processes and playbooks for future product rollouts.
  • Exposure to customer-support workflows and tools (e.g., Zendesk, Intercom) to bridge the gap between implementation and ongoing support.
  • Previous experience in a scrappy startup environment—comfortable wearing multiple hats and iterating processes quickly.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Data-Driven: Define, collect, and analyze metrics to show ROI and guide go-to-market decisions.
  • Clear Communicator: Present insights effectively to both executives and frontline teams.
  • Project Management: Create detailed plans, set milestones, and manage risks; familiarity with common project-management tools is helpful.
  • Customer Focus: Build strong client relationships, anticipate churn, and drive expansion strategies.
  • Hands-On Leader: Willing to roll up your sleeves to troubleshoot issues, train users, and support integrations.
  • Organized & Agile: Manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced startup while staying detail-oriented.
  • Empathetic Problem Solver: Understand the challenges of behind-the-scenes healthcare professionals and adapt solutions accordingly.
Benefits & Perks:
  • Cutting-edge technology: Work directly with the latest advancements in generative AI and automation, tackling challenging problems that meaningfully impact healthcare.
  • Ownership & growth: You’ll join Ascertain at a pivotal early stage, shaping our products, technical direction, and culture, with significant opportunities for career advancement.
  • Collaborative team: Join a talented, passionate, and supportive team with backgrounds from top tech companies and clinical institutions.
  • Flexible hybrid work: We support a flexible hybrid working model from our NYC office, trusting you to manage your own schedule.
  • Competitive compensation: We offer competitive salary, meaningful equity, comprehensive health insurance, and more.
Salary Range:
  • $170,000 - $230,000 base salary, depending on experience and alignment with role expectations + performance bonus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
