Job Description

Oversee all human resource functions of a facility. This includes oversight of both manufacturing and salaried /office employees. Provides strategic direction and change management support to empower and solve business needs in the areas of talent, culture, and operational excellence. Single location with 100-200 plus employees; the HR Manager will report directly to the HR Director with a strong dotted-line reporting relationship to the Plant Manager. This position is an on-site role at our Danville, KY plant.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Ensure Amcor employee relations principles are properly communicated and understood
  • Interpret and apply Human Resources policies; aligns business goals with HR policies
  • Manage recruitment, compensation, diversity, performance management, employee training and development.
  • Handles all types of employee inquiries and issues
  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct HR training programs.
  • Handles escalated employee inquiries and issues
  • Provides guidance to leaders regarding employee matters to include performance coaching, Performance Improvement Plans, Individual Development Plans, Human Capital Plans, succession planning, salary planning, etc.
  • Provides guidance on workforce planning which may include organizational re-design work, facilitation of a Talent Review/Selection process,  job description creation and analysis, promotions, etc.
  • Conducts employee investigations, discipline, termination, etc.
  • Partners and collaborates with business leaders and serves as a member of the leadership team
  • Manage payroll and HR automated systems.
  • Ensures we are hiring, developing, and retaining our best people
  • Provide support for HR activities such as continuous improvement initiatives, affirmative action plan, integration, acquisitions, right-sizing.
  • Act as coach/counsel at all levels in the organization.
  • Participates and leads employee improvement teams to promote positive employee relations; promotes and encourages employee participation

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • 7+  years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field; Master’s preferred
  • Bilingual skills preferred, not required (English/Spanish)
  • Excellent  communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates group presentation skills to large audiences
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Able to work independently as well as in-group settings
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Strategic thinker
