Purpose of the Position

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to restaurant and operations leaders, supporting full-cycle recruitment while also driving key HR initiatives across multiple locations. This role focuses on aligning people strategies with business goals, strengthening leadership capabilities, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

This is a remote position with flexibility to visit our restaurant locations when needed. If you enjoy influencing leaders, building strong teams, and shaping the employee experience, this role is for you!

This role reports to the VP, Human Resources and works in collaboration with the broader People & Culture team.

Essential Functions
  • Live our values of Energy, Discovery, and Community in all interactions.
  • Act as a strategic partner to field leadership, providing guidance on people-related matters.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for management and hourly roles across brands.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define workforce needs, develop job profiles, and execute sourcing strategies.
  • Use data and insights to support hiring decisions, retention strategies, and workforce planning.
  • Coach and support leaders on performance management, employee relations, and team development.
  • Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and networking.
  • Manage and optimize the candidate pipeline, ensuring a strong and diverse talent pool.
  • Ensure a best-in-class candidate and onboarding experience.
  • Support employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant practices.
  • Partner on engagement initiatives, retention efforts, and organizational development strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Proven ability to build trust and influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect HR strategies to operational outcomes.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, coaching, and effective communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification is a plus.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Position requires regular use of computer, telephone, and digital communication platforms.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent travel to restaurant locations and Support Center meetings (approx. 25–40% of the time).
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for leadership events, openings, or critical situations.
  • Fast-paced, collaborative work environment requiring critical thinking and agility.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience as an HRBP, preferably in multi-unit restaurants or hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., wage & hour, leaves, harassment, ADA).
  • Experience handling employee relations and investigations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
