What we need

A hands-on HubSpot reporting builder with deep experience in HubSpot Data Studio + Advanced Reporting & Analytics who can move quickly, deliver accurate dashboards, and build reporting that drives insight for GTM leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Build and iterate executive-ready dashboards in HubSpot using Data Studio and the Advanced Reporting & Analytics add-on
  • Translate GTM and RevOps requirements into clear, reliable reporting that supports decision-making
  • Implement complex reporting views (segmentation, pacing, referral, lead gen, CVR performance) with scalable filters and structure
  • Ensure high accuracy and trust through QA checks, validation steps, and consistent metric definitions
  • Run fast iteration cycles: ship a strong v1 quickly, then improve and expand weekly based on feedback
  • Provide light recommendations and best practices to strengthen reporting design while staying hands-on and execution-focused
  • Document assumptions, definitions, and dashboard logic so outputs are reusable and sustainable

What you will deliver

  • Leadership-ready HubSpot dashboards that can be integrated into MBRs and board reporting
  • Consistent metric definitions and documentation that ensures reporting alignment across stakeholders
  • Dashboards that surface insight, including: what changed, why it matters, and what actions to take
  • Faster reporting throughput without sacrificing quality or data trust

Screening process

  • 30-min first interview (standard screen)
  • 20-min second interview (deep dive on 1–2 HubSpot reporting builds + how they QA)
  • Decision within 24 hours after final conversation

Requirements

Must-have experience

  • Proven, advanced HubSpot Data Studio, and reporting and dashboard build experience (not just basic reports)
  • Strong understanding of HubSpot objects, associations, lifecycle stages, deal stages, and reporting constraints
  • Ability to move fast and still maintain data trust
  • Comfortable partnering with RevOps and senior GTM stakeholders

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in B2B SaaS or high-velocity revenue teams
  • Attribution and funnel reporting experience within HubSpot’s native capabilities

Benefits

Pay:

  • $150/hr
  • 2 month Engagement, ~24 hrs/week

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
