Our vibrant, energetic culture balances hard work with a passion for making a meaningful impact nationwide. Our mission is to guide individuals through the tax resolution process with trust, education, and care, delivering solutions that transform lives.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on contractor to build and pilot an automated HR workflow that spans intake, approvals, document generation, multi-party signatures, and secure system-of-record updates. The solution will integrate Google Workspace tools with enterprise HR systems, including ADP, and must support role-based permissions, auditability, and compliance.  This role requires someone comfortable working across multiple platforms, not just Google Workspace.

Core Responsibilities
  • Design and implement HR workflows spanning multiple systems
  • Build structured intake and approval workflows (Google Forms, Jira, or similar)
  • Implement approval routing and conditional logic using workflow engines or scripting
  • Generate HR documents from templates and manage document lifecycle
  • Integrate multi-signer e-signature workflows (PandaDoc, Docu-Sign, or equivalent)
  • Integrate with ADP APIs, including:
    • Permission-based access
    • Secure document upload
    • Event-driven or controlled write-back
  • Enforce role-based access control and audit logging
  • Ensure secure handling of sensitive HR and payroll-related data
  • Deliver a working pilot workflow (e.g., job change) with clear documentation
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience building HR or enterprise approval workflows
  • Hands-on experience with ADP APIs (document management, permissions, or payroll-adjacent workflows)
  • Strong understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) and audit requirements
  • Experience integrating e-signature platforms (PandaDoc, Docu-Sign, Adobe Sign)
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace automation (Apps Script or equivalent)
  • Ability to work across tools such as Jira or similar workflow systems
  • Strong API integration experience (REST, OAuth, service accounts)
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Power Automate, Logic Apps, or other enterprise workflow tools
  • Experience in regulated environments (HR, payroll, finance)
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or ADP document management modules
  • Experience designing pilot-to-production transitions
  • Likes Cats
Deliverables
  • One end-to-end automated HR workflow pilot
  • Secure ADP document upload and/or metadata sync
  • Defined role-based approval and signing logic
  • Documented architecture and handoff to internal IT
What Success Looks Like
  • HR requests move from intake → approval → multi-signature → system-of-record with minimal manual work
  • ADP updates are controlled, auditable, and permission-based
  • The solution is extensible beyond the initial pilot
  • Internal IT can maintain and extend the workflow

Contract Length: 4–6 weeks (pilot, with extension potential)
Hours: 20–40 hours/week
Location: Remote (US-based) or Onsite Irvine, CA

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
