Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources in a fast-paced retail environment. This role focuses on enhancing the employee experience, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and driving HR initiatives that align with the company’s strategic goals. Key areas of responsibility include recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent for store-level and regional positions.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • Collaborate with store managers to identify staffing needs and create workforce plans.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns, grievances, and workplace issues.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture by fostering open communication and resolving conflicts professionally.
  • Implement and manage performance review processes, offering guidance to managers on goal-setting and constructive feedback.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to upskill employees and leadership teams.
  • Oversee onboarding programs to ensure seamless integration of new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage payroll, benefits administration, and leave programs efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports to track key HR metrics.
  • Drive company-wide HR initiatives, including diversity and inclusion programs, employee engagement efforts, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with corporate HR teams to implement best practices and align regional strategies with overall organizational goals.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • At least 5 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the retail or supermarket industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
