Job Title: HR Business Partner II
Position Type: Contract (6+ Month)
Location: New York, NY 10001 (Hybrid)
Salary Rate: $35–42/hour

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner II to support business leaders and employees across a dynamic organization. This role focuses on employee engagement, HR operations, data integrity, and compliance while partnering closely with leadership and HR Centers of Excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong HR knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key HR Business Partner, primarily supporting employees below the Director level
  • Manage HR data centralization, transactions, workflows, job requisitions, and employee records
  • Conduct headcount audits and ensure data integrity across the division
  • Build strong employee relationships and coordinate training and development initiatives
  • Support employee relations by providing coaching, guidance, and organizing engagement activities
  • Partner with Total Rewards on compensation evaluations and pay recommendations
  • Interpret and apply HR policies while ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Act as liaison between business functions and HR Centers of Excellence
  • Support employment law compliance and related HR practices
  • Prepare and coordinate reporting for government programs (AAP, EEOC, etc.)
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
  • 2–4 years of Human Resources experience
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles and HR policies
  • Knowledge of employment laws (EEO, ADA, FMLA, OFCCP, Wage & Hour, WARN, etc.)
  • Basic financial knowledge including P&L and budgeting concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
