Employee Relations & HR Support
- Serve as the onsite HR generalist for MVF employees, supervisors, and leaders.
- Handle some employee relations matters, with a specific focus on MVF hourly employees and front-line supervisors.
- Counsel employees regarding work-related issues and concerns.
- Conduct termination meetings and provide feedback and insights to management as appropriate.
- Manage employee questions and cases through accessHR and similar case-management tools, including in-person interactions.
Recruiting & Talent Support
- Support recruiting efforts including pipelining, interview scheduling, job fairs, and candidate coordination.
- Escort candidates during onsite interviews and ensure a positive onsite candidate experience.
Projects, Documentation & Analytics
- Conduct research and analyze data for assigned HR projects.
- Create slides and materials using HR data for presentations and leadership updates.
- Interact with PowerBI and other data tools to support decision-making and process improvements.
- Assist with writing and updating HR policies and procedures, job descriptions, and employee-facing documentation.
Technology & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with AI-enabled tools and systems to improve HR efficiencies, including (but not limited to):
- Interview coordination
- Case management
- Responding to basic policy and process questions
- Support new initiatives, pilot programs, and evolving HR projects.
Onsite Engagement & Culture
- Facilitate and coordinate portions of new hire orientation.
- Support team-building activities and onsite engagement initiatives.
- Act as a trusted, visible HR presence for all MVF employees in New York.
- Onsite presence is required for a minimum of 3 days per week, as many as 5 days per week. (Ideal candidate prefers onsite work for collaboration and efficiency).
- Evening availability may be required 4–6 times per year for special events or business needs.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience preferred; open to candidates with more or slightly less experience based on overall fit.
- Prior experience in a generalist or employee-facing HR role ideal; especially interacting with hourly employees.
- Proven experience balancing people-priorities in a high-paced environment also valued (example: restaurant server; teaching roles; other high-paced customer service jobs)
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to “read the room”, resulting in excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Brave, thoughtful, and confident—without being overly rigid or overconfident.
- A sense of humor and the ability to stay grounded in a fast-paced, people-driven environment.
- Highly adaptable to changing business needs and shifts in responsibilities.
- Comfortable using HR systems, data tools, and emerging AI technologies.
The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.
