The HR Generalist provides operational HR support, including onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and audits, while implementing HR policies and initiatives.
We are looking for a dynamic and solutions-oriented Human Resources Generalist who excels in supporting both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day operations. As an HR Generalist, you will provide both administrative and operational HR support, including tasks such as onboarding, compliance, employee relations, leave management, offboarding, and HR audits. The successful candidate will communicate effectively, approach challenges proactively, and demonstrate a strong desire to shape HR practices in alignment with our company values.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement HR policies and procedures that support the company’s strategic goals.
- Act as the main point of contact for HR inquiries, offering guidance on policies and procedures.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive and consistent experience for employees.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and ensure compliance with data privacy standards.
- Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment regulations and company policies.
- Assist with leave administration, workers’ compensation, and safety initiatives.
- Conduct HR audits to validate policy adherence and legal compliance.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for employees regarding HR matters.
- Coordinate and monitor mandatory compliance training, ensuring timely completion.
- Oversee immigration processes, including visa audits and updating I-9 documentation.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to process background checks for new hires.
- Manage the HR inbox, responding promptly to employee questions.
- Proactively identify and implement HR process improvements and efficiencies.
- Support additional HR projects as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or similar role.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Experience with Workday and other HR-related software is preferred.
