HR Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for creating, updating, and applying all HR policies and company guidelines and making sure they adhere to standards and laws initiated by authorities.  The Human Resources Generalist will report directly to the VP, Human Resources and assist in leading and directing the routine functions of the HR department including employee onboarding, payroll, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage leave and accommodation cases from intake through resolution, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other federal, state, and company leave policies.
  • Facilitate the ADA interactive process and coordinate reasonable accommodations with employees, managers, and medical providers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on leave, disability, accommodation, and return-to-work matters.
  • Maintain accurate leave records, documentation, and case management tracking while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Coordinate return-to-work processes and support employees transitioning back to the workplace.
  • Assist with employee relations matters related to attendance, leave, and workplace accommodations.
  • Maintain and update leave-related policies, forms, and employee resources.
  • Support HR projects, audits, compliance initiatives, and other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience preferred 
  • PHR or SPHR certified preferred 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail

Asset Living is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the remote nature of this position and includes the range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; etc. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would be near the top end of the compensation range, but that decision will be dependent on the facts associated with each specific individual’s relevant experience for the role.  A reasonable estimate of the range is below.

$60,000—$70,000 USD
