Business Development & Market Engagement
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across government, research, defense, commercial sectors, and academic institutes

  • Support strategic accounts and partnerships by articulating the value of vendor-agnostic integrated compute environments.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through capability assessments, proof-of-concepts, and long-term planning.

System Design & Integration
  • Lead the system design of end-to-end computing solutions that combine classical HPC with quantum or hybrid workloads.

  • Evaluate and recommend open-source and commercial tools, frameworks, and hardware across multiple vendors.

  • Ensure all solutions are adaptable to existing enterprise ecosystems and evolving technology standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across product, sales, R&D, delivery and support to ensure product/solution alignment with mission needs.

  • Lead customer discovery, requirements gathering, and solution validation efforts.

  • Support go-to-market activities with technical collateral, messaging, and training.

  • Identifying government funded programs and opportunities; assembling and coordinating a cross-organizational team to respond; assisting principal investigators with drafting and submitting proposals.

  • Managing program budgets and ensuring alignment and timely completion of a program or project milestones or deliveries.

Market & Technology Intelligence
  • Stay abreast of developments in the HPC and quantum landscape, including emerging technologies, standards, and vendor capabilities.

  • Analyze competitor offerings to ensure our solutions remain differentiated, flexible, and mission-first.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, systems architecture,  technical business development, and program management.

  • Proven experience delivering complex compute or data systems in vendor-diverse environments.

  • Deep understanding of quantum applications, quantum algorithms,  quantum error correction, statistical/computational physics.

  • Deep understanding of HPC architecture, GPU/CPU function and applicability, cluster design, job scheduling, workload optimization, and performance tuning and testing

  • Familiarity with quantum computing technologies, including quantum SDKs, simulators, and hybrid frameworks.

  • Understanding of quantum programming models (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, or Braket).

  • MBA or equivalent experience blending technical and financial decision-making.

  • Strong business acumen with ability to understand markets, value drivers, customer economics and ROI.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
