WHERE YOU’LL WORK  

Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with priority given to candidates open to hybrid work in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, and Miami, FL. We will also consider a remote-based working arrangement for qualified candidates with East Coast working hours as a prerequisite.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO 

We are thrilled to be looking for a Ticket Manager to work on the hospitality program for one of our key clients and a FIFA World Cup 26™ Partner. This could be the perfect role for you if you thrive while working on major events, love detail and spreadsheets, are a real team player and have a strong desire to work as part of a new account team. 

Leading up to the event, the Ticket Manager will be responsible for ticketing system planning and set-up, allocation management, and working with key global stakeholders and the Octagon team to ensure seamless guest experiences and accurate ticketing data. Top candidates must have relevant experience in the planning and delivery of end-to-end ticketing operations for a hospitality program around a major sporting event.  

The ticketing team is responsible for the planning, management, assignment, distribution and reconciliation of the client event tickets for this Global sporting event coming to North America, and the Ticket Manager will be key to the success of the ticketing workstream. Roles and responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

  • Work closely with the Ticketing Lead in planning, assigning, checking and distributing all tickets
  • Liaise with the FIFA World Cup 26™ ticketing team as required
  • Manage ticket inventory through the FIFA World Cup 26™ online ticket portal
  • Review all ticket assignments to ensure accuracy
  • Monitor and manage ticket inventory and distribution process in collaboration with client lead and Ticketing Lead
  • Troubleshoot ticket delivery issues, mobile ticketing problems and access concerns
  • Support high-volume periods during the ticket resale phase and matchday operations
  • Prepare and deliver ticket usage reports
  • Support during tournament window (June-July) and help resolve guest issues and last-minute change requests
  • Support with post-event reconciliation and reporting documentation
  • Educate the internal team on FIFA ticket policies, transfer rules, accessibility tickets and other specific measures
  • Assist with onsite event delivery

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • 2-5 years of Ticket Management experience in major events (FIFA World Cup 26™ or Olympics) ideally, with a strong eye for detail and precision in high-pressure environments 
  • Technically confident with major events ticketing platform (FIFA or Olympics), guests’ registration tools, and data privacy requirements 
  • Experience in a similar role a large scale at a major sporting event such as the Olympics, Paralympics or FIFA World Cup  
  • Experience managing digital ticketing operations 
  • Highly organized, dependable, and focusednothing slips through the cracks under your watch 
  • High level Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills  
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time 
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Moderate travel (20-45%) with ability to be onsite throughout tournament window (June-July) as needed. 

This position pays an annualized rate of $75,000 and is not overtime-eligible. Contract positions with Octagon are not benefits eligible
