Everest Insurance has an opportunity available for an experienced Statistical Reporting Assistant Vice President to join Everest Insurance’s Central Operations team in the Warren, NJ Home Office location. 

The Assistant Vice President will report directly to the Vice President I of Operations and will work both collaboratively with other departments within the organization as well as on an individual basis to provide quality and accurate data in response to a variety of internal and external statistical data requests across multiple lines of business.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Responsible for managing a team of Statistical Reporting Analysts.
  • Responsible for the following areas:    
    • Workers’ Compensation Unit Statistical Reporting to NCCI and Independent Bureaus
    • ISO, SFAA and MA Auto Statistical Reporting
    • Data Call Submissions to various States and Bureaus for multiple lines of business
    • Surplus Lines Reporting
    • Assessment Verification and Payments
    • Surcharge & Assessment Management
    • Data Quality & Coding Support
    • Production Support
    • Special Projects
    • Annual Budget Projections  
  • Identify Data Quality issues impacting reporting and work with the necessary internal and/or external areas to resolve the issues/problems. 
  • Ensure Data Submissions are complete, accurate, and adhere to company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Mentor Staff on an ongoing basis, as needed.  
  • Collecting, Analyzing and Interpreting statistical data to support organizations needs and research activities.
  • Supply statistical data to internal customers (i.e. Comptrollers, Legal, Underwriting, etc.) in a timely manner in support of various requests and Statistical Reports.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • Prior Management of a Statistical Reporting area required. 
  • Minimum 5 years Statistical/Regulatory Reporting experience or equivalent experience required.  CPCU coursework or IDMA certification a plus. 
  • 5+ years previous work experience with a commercial Property and Casualty Insurance carrier highly desired.  Accident & Health experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with all or most of the following - Unit Stat Reporting, ISO (Insurance Services Office) Reporting, Data Calls, Surplus Lines and Surcharge & Assessment management desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: 
  • Microsoft Excel skills required.  Intermediate skills preferred. 
  • SQL skills a plus
  • Access skills a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with others as a team player as well as independently on individual tasks and projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to achieve results within and across diverse organizational units and disciplines.
  • Strong sense of individual ownership and accountability
  • Comfortable balancing short term and long-term deliverables.

For NJ, NY, IL and CA Only: The base salary range for this position is $173,000 - $240,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
