The Head of Recruitment - Greater China & Mongolia (GCM) is the key business partner to resource the business with the best talent in the market to manage and grow the company at the required pace. 

You will lead the end-to-end recruitment process and partner with local leaders to position Hilton as the preferred employer, setting new standards for effective and efficient recruitment practices. 

You will execute a world-class recruitment process fit for the market, measured and accountable for an exceptional candidate experience that hires the right candidate for the position every time, with a focus on the best, most diverse talent. Partnering with the business and Human Resources team, you will deliver best-in-class recruitment outcomes. 

Based in the GCM Regional Office in Shanghai, you will operate as a key member of the Recruitment leadership team, reporting to the Head of Recruitment - Asia Pacific based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important, and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

Delivering on Strategy

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to bring the GCM recruitment strategy to life, aligning with key stakeholders, recruiters, and the broader business.

  • Execute innovative sourcing strategies and procedures to ensure there is a consistent and positive candidate experience, which increases the prospects of acquisition and retention of diverse talent for the business.

  • In conjunction with business leaders, develop and drive EVP strategy to make Hilton the first choice for our target talent and build a strong talent pipeline to support business growth.

  • Execute on the creation of in-market talent banks for the agreed talent pools, building a robust pool of local talent to fast-track the hiring of the right candidates.

  • Continue to evolve and future-proof the recruitment technology systems to ensure we have the right tools and systems to deliver the most accurate and timely hiring decisions.

 

Leading and Influencing 

  • Develop strong, positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, gather feedback, address concerns, and cultivate enthusiasm for recruitment outcomes.

  • Lead the recruitment process and oversee the execution of all activities in recruiting, sourcing, and technology delivery.

  • Drive accountability, ownership, and collaboration of all stakeholders in the recruitment process, promoting a strong team culture.

  • Possess well-honed problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issues in collaboration with others as appropriate; the ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems; the ability to develop problem-solving skills among team members.

  • Work closely with the Brands team & recruitment marketing in effectively establishing communication strategies that attract diverse talent to the business.

 

Executing for Results 

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the business to influence potential hires and talent in the market.

  • Ensure all recruiting practices comply with regulations and legal requirements, both internal and external. 

  • Conduct research and translate trends into creative and innovative practices, maintain a strong understanding of how the innovative trends and competitive landscape affect the business, and identify the most suitable recruiting approaches to support high-performance hiring.

  • Ensure that diversity targets are exceeded by having ready-to-go talent banks of local talent ready to hire.

 

Analytics

  • Analyze and deliver ongoing reports after tracking the results, impacts, and cost-effectiveness of the current recruiting strategies. Use this information to identify trends and adjust recruiting strategies to optimize recruitment outcomes. You will conduct research and experiments, taking risks that drive creative and innovative hiring solutions. 

  • Create a dashboard that regularly reports on recruitment KPI’s so that the business has visibility on recruitment activities that can be addressed proactively.

Qualifications

 

WHY YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Must have previous Head of Recruitment experience.

  • More than 8 years of related experience in recruiting or an HR generalist position, with at least 5 years of executive stakeholder management experience. 

  • Possess strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to transform processes and mindsets to achieve key business metrics. 

  • Ability to lead full-cycle recruitment as well as have a broad understanding of general HR requirements for employment.

  • Excellent communication skills with strong stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with others, inspire trust and confidence in them to attract the best talent in the market into the business.

  • Possess strong technical acumen and a data-driven approach to recruitment strategy formulation and decision-making. 

  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines, have exceptional problem-solving skills, and demonstrate composure in times of uncertainty and stress.
