Who We Are

Arrive Logistics is a leading transportation and technology company in North America with plans to grow significantly year over year. Our success is a testament to our remarkable team and what we’re building together. We’re committed to providing employees with a meaningful work experience and have established an award-winning culture that supports personal and career development in a fun, casual, and collaborative environment.

Who We Want

Arrive Logistics is looking for a Head of Professional Development to own how we build great managers. This person will study what our highest-performing Sales Managers do differently, turn those insights into a scalable development program, and coach every manager to apply them day to day. You thrive on the floor, know how our business works, and actively partner with multiple departments to diagnose leadership gaps and mentor emerging talent into high-performing managers. Success is measured in two outcomes: stronger sales performance and better talent retention.

What You'll Do

  • Study top performance. Analyze Arrive's highest-performing Sales Managers through observation, interviews, team data, and performance metrics. Identify the traits, strategies, and tactics that get the most out of their teams.
  • Build the program. Turn those findings into a structured management development program that is in alignment with Arrive’s long term growth objectives. This would cover curriculum, frameworks, tools, and a clear progression from new manager to senior leader.
  • Coach managers directly. Provide one-on-one and group coaching that helps managers build these skills into their daily habits, including how they run 1:1s, set goals, give feedback, and recognize their teams.
  • Drive sales performance. Partner with RevGen and Sales leadership to connect manager development to team results, such as productivity, ramp time, margin, new and revived logos and wallet share expansion.
  • Employee Success Partnership. Partner closely with Employee Success Business Partners (ESBPs) to identify organizational trends, diagnose leadership development needs, understand engagement survey and attrition data, and align coaching interventions with broader talent and retention strategies.
  • Improve Retention. Drive talent retention and performance by using data to pinpoint high-impact management behaviors and align leadership coaching directly with business metrics like rep ramp time and account growth that are leaders for retention.
  • Measure impact. Define success metrics, track program outcomes, and report results to executive leadership.
  • Establish buy-in. Partner with the Chief Strategy Officer, RevGen leaders, and operational executives to establish trust, secure buy-in from skeptical stakeholders, and embed a culture of coaching across all business lines.
  • Scale the model. Build a program that grows with Arrive and extends beyond Sales to other people leaders over time.

Qualifications

  • A background in organizational psychology, industrial-organizational (I/O) psychology, executive coaching, or a related field. An advanced degree or coaching certification (e.g., ICF) is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in leadership or management development, ideally in a high-growth, sales-driven environment.
  • A proven record of building development programs that measurably improved performance and retention.
  • Strong analytical skills, with comfort turning observations and data into clear recommendations.
  • Credibility with sales leaders. Experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or another fast-paced sales floor is a strong plus.
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence without authority.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

  • A documented model of what makes Arrive's top Sales Managers effective
  • A launched management development program, with coaching underway across the Sales Manager population
  • Baseline and early-trend metrics tying the program to team performance and manager-level retention

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
