Position Overview:
This is a role for a connector and builder of growth ecosystems — someone who knows how to open doors, create value for partners, and translate relationships into referral demand.

As Head of Partnerships (B2B2C), you’ll lead the strategy and execution of Colibri Real Estate’s brokerage and institutional partnership channel. Your goal: build relationships with brokerages, franchise networks, and industry organizations that drive awareness, trust, and learner acquisition for our pre-licensing, continuing education, and membership offerings.

This is not a classic sales job. It’s about creating scalable partnership programs that influence and enable others to send us learners — designing win-win value propositions, ensuring operational follow-through, and collaborating with Marketing, Product, and CX to deliver partner-ready experiences.

You’ll take ownership of the small but high-potential B2B team, define the strategy, and grow the function into a disciplined, high-impact partnership engine.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and Lead the Partnership Strategy
  • Define and execute the B2B2C strategy that expands referral and distribution of partnerships across brokerages, franchises, and associations.
  • Segment and prioritize partnership targets based on market potential and strategic fit.
  • Build clear value propositions for partners — aligning education, onboarding, and membership offerings with their needs.
  • Lead outreach, negotiation, and management of strategic broker, franchise, and association relationships.
  • Develop co-marketing and engagement programs that generate consistent learner referrals.
  • Serve as the primary relationship executive for key accounts, supported by the B2B team.
  • Create partnership frameworks that can scale — standard agreements, enablement tools, onboarding kits, reporting dashboards.
  • Establish predictable pipeline and performance management across the B2B team.
  • Build systems for tracking referrals, revenue contribution, and partner engagement.
  • Partner with Marketing to design partner campaigns, co-branded collateral, and lead-tracking flows.
  • Work with Customer Experience to ensure referred learners have seamless onboarding and service experience.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to align new offerings and memberships to brokerage needs.
  • Coordinate with BizOps for reporting, forecasting, and AOP integration.
  • Manage a small, high-impact team responsible for partnership outreach and account management.
  • Build clear roles, processes, and metrics that drive focus and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, customer empathy, and measurable impact.

What Great Looks Like

  • Build partnerships that create mutual value — helping brokerages attract, retain, and grow agents while driving learner acquisition for Colibri.
  • Understands the economics and motivations of brokerage networks and tailors value propositions accordingly.
  • Skilled at developing executive-level relationships and converting them into sustainable referral flows.
  • Balances relational credibility with commercial discipline — knows when to listen, when to close, and when to scale.
  • Works seamlessly with Marketing, Product, and CX to create partner-ready experiences and co-marketing programs.
  • Ensure partner insights feedback into messaging, offerings, and learner experience.
  • Implements clear processes for partner onboarding, enablement, and performance tracking.
  • Brings discipline to what can often be an informal, relationship-driven space.
  • Clarifies purpose, process, and accountability for the B2B team.
  • Builds a scalable, repeatable partnership model that can grow beyond individual relationships.
  • Partner-generated learner enrollments and revenue contributions.
  • Number and quality of active partnerships (brokerage, franchise, association).
  • Partner satisfaction and renewal rate.
  • Lead-to-enrollment conversion from referral sources.
  • Efficiency of partnership operations (cycle time, enablement readiness).

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 10+ years of experience in partnerships, channel, or business development roles — ideally within education, real estate services, or B2B2C models.
  • Proven ability to build and scale partnerships that generate downstream consumer demand.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker who can translate opportunity into structured execution.
  • Strong relationship-builder and communicator — credible with senior industry leaders.
  • Experience collaborating with Marketing, Product, and Operations to deliver partner-integrated experiences.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a growing, evolving business.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
